[UPCOMING] I CAN NOT REACH YOU

Mika’s “Kimi ni WA Todokanai / I Cannot Reach You” manga is reportedly having its live drama adaptation!

“I Cannot Reach You” is based on Mika’s manga of the same name, which has sold over 400,000 copies in total. It stars Kamen Rider Revice actor Maeda Kentaro as Yamato, who is top of the class with excellent grades and is admired by girls, and Kashiwagi Haru from the Japanese boy group, BULLET TRAIN, as Kakeru, a bright and ordinary young boy.

The drama’s screenplay is written by Hiraki Maki (Ojogiwa no Imi wo Shire) and under the direction of Izume Masahide (Ousama ni Sasagu Kusuriyubi).

Synopsis: No matter how much time we spend together, I’ll never become special to you. Childhood best friends. Two halves of a whole. The cool, smart one who’s good at almost everything, and his average, dorky friend who struggles to do anything right—Yamato and Kakeru. Always by the other’s side, but not together in the way they truly want to be. No matter how hard they try, their hearts cannot reach each other…
