A Destiny to Taste

Ren works as a “troubleshooter” in the entertainment district, helping people resolve complicated romantic situations. But his life changes after his beloved younger sister, Haruka, tragically dies by suicide after jumping from the roof of a high-rise building.

Unable to understand what drove her to that decision, Ren continues to suffer from nightmares. Every year on the anniversary of her death, he returns to the rooftop with a bouquet of flowers.

One year later, Ren discovers a man named Naoto collapsed on the same rooftop and rushes to help him. Naoto reveals that he was betrayed by a customer at the bar where he worked, leaving him in debt and without a job or a place to stay.

With nowhere else to go, Ren decides to take Naoto in. What begins as an unexpected act of kindness brings the two men into each other’s lives, where healing, trust, and an unexpected connection slowly begin to take shape.
