Recently, Netflix took everyone by surprise by announcing a brand-new Queer series titled “Boots”. Spanning 8 episodes, the series is set to premiere this coming October. 🏳️🌈
👉 Set in the 1990s, Boots plunges us straight into the harsh, rule-bound world of the United States Marine Corps—an era when being gay in the military wasn’t just condemned, it was illegal.
👉 At the heart of the story is Cameron Cope, a quiet, lost young man who enlists alongside his straight best friend Ray McAffey—the son of a highly respected Marine.
👉 Together, the two are thrown into a boot camp alongside a ragtag group of recruits from wildly different backgrounds. Following their journey, Boots promises to be both a heartfelt coming-of-age comedy and a gripping drama packed with tension and allure.
