“Brave To Love” is the Taiwanese remake of a classic Japanese drama and manga in the 90s.
The original one is called “Asunaro Hakusho.”
One of the characters is gay but he falls in love with his best straight friend…
The famous Japanese actor, Nishijima Hidetoshiwho, who stars in “What Did You Eat Yesterday” that was aired yesterday, played the gay role in the orginal drama. So now he is playing his second gay role 25+ years later.
The older brother from HIStory “Stay Away From Me” is also in this remake. He’s got big roles in many dramas in Taiwan for the past two years and even got nomianted for the biggest acting award last year.
