Some people possess unusual abilities that allow them to see what others cannot.

Jia Kai cannot see ghosts, but he can see colored threads connecting people. The more threads someone has, the more relationships and bonds they share with others.

Although Jia Kai has seen countless threads between people, none have ever been connected to him. Unable to understand why, he eventually accepts living as a loner.

However, after a chaotic incident, he meets Da Wei, a police officer. For the first time, Jia Kai notices something unexpected—a single silver-grey thread connecting him to Da Wei.

Determined not to lose that connection, Jia Kai takes a part-time job at the police station to stay close to him. Using his special ability, he helps with cases involving missing people and lost objects.

As time passes and they spend more time together, the thread between them begins to change color. It slowly shifts from silver-grey to yellow, symbolizing friendship, and eventually to red, the color of love.

Watching the thread transform, Jia Kai realizes that the feelings growing between them can no longer be hidden.
